Calder Clint born April 11, 2011 7lbs 10 oz

Here's how our boy got here!!
I woke up Sunday morning April 10th at 7:00 having some contractions, so I started timing them and they were about 5 to 6 minutes apart. My doctor told me to go in when they were 5 minutes apart but I could tell they weren't that strong so I waited until they got stronger and 4-5 minutes apart to go to the hospital at around 11:00.  We got to the hospital and was dilated to a 2 1/2.  So they said they would check me in an hour.  Well I didn't dilate any so they waited until the doctor got out from delivering another baby to see what to do, which was about 4 hours after we got there.  I still hadn't dilated.  So they decided to give me a shot of morphine and send me home.  They said if it was pre-labor that it would knock it out, but if it was real labor I would wake up with full blown contractions.  Well i fell asleep on the way home but kept waking up with contractions every once in a while.  I woke up three hours after we got home and was still having them but they weren't killing me.  I told Clint I thought we should go back in because if I was still having them then maybe I was dilating. So we hung around for a little bit so I could time them and they were about 2-3 minutes apart. So Clint got in the shower to get ready to go.  Aparently the morphine wasn't worn off all the way because about 10 minutes later I was yelling at Clint to get out of the shower because they were killing me and I couldn't even walk to gather the rest of my things.  I about died on the way to the hospital my contractions were so strong! But when we got there I got the good news that I had dilated to an 8.  I immediately asked for an epidural. About an hour later I was all set and comfortable. This was at 9:00.  I fell asleep but they kept coming in because everytime I had a contraction Calder's heart beat was dropping.  They kept having me turn over every 10 minutes or so hoping it would help.  But they were worried it would drop too much when I started pushing.  I was dilated to a 10 at about 2:15 and they told me if he didn't come fast that they might have to do a c-section because his heart rate.  Luckily he got here at 2:21am!!  He weighed 7lbs 10 oz and was 21 iches long! He is such a doll and I can't get enough of him.  He has been so good.  He's only been waking up once a night and is so mellow.  He hardly cries and will just sit there and stare at us.  Can't believe how much we already love him!
I'll post more later but here are a few pictures.

I love this guy!

I really don't want to do a mushy post so I'll try to keep it simple. But I really do think my husband is the sweetest.
So a couple of weeks ago Saturday Clint was in Houston and it had been 4 weeks since I had seen him, and I wasn't supposed to see him for two more weeks. I talked to him Sunday morning and he told me he was back at our friends house, in Oklahoma hanging out. I was staying at my parents that weekend but he needed me to come home from my parents by that afternoon to help our friend pick up some calves, so I rushed home to get there in time. I helped our friend and went back in the house and about a half hour later I was getting a drink in the kitchen and someone walked in the door. So I went around the corner to see who it was and there was Clint!!! Surprise!
I couldn't figure out what was going on, and I really couldn't stop crying to get my questions out, but apparently that was his plan the entire time we knew I was going to have to go home. He drove 24 straight hours from Houston so he could surprise me. I was so excited but partly mad because I had been stressing out so bad. For me there was no end in sight til I saw him again. No wonder the whole time he kept telling me it was going to be fine. He knew it wouldn't  be that much longer until he saw me.  I always say he is so NOT romantic, and most the time he really isn't, but he does come up with these awesome surprises like that. So I guess I have to give him some credit!
I Seriously love that guy! Don't know what I would do without him!

30 down!

30 DOWN MEANS 10 TO GO!!!

As excited as I am to have this little guy arrive I am so sad that it's winding down! 10 weeks seems like it's going to go so fast.  And I am loving this! I think I have been spoiled with this pregnancy because I still am not uncomfortable or sick or had any pain or anything. Who knows, I may hate my next one. It's scaring Clint that I like it this much. He thinks I'm going to want to have lots more!
On the other hand I am so ready to start working out again. I feel like I'm trapped in the house doing nothing. My made up yoga isn't quite cutting it! And neither is this weather that's keeping me inside!!
Here's the belly at 30 weeks
Guess I better be preparing for him though. I Have lots to do, but since I'll be home without Clint for 6 weeks I guess I'll have plenty of time right!? That has been the hardest part of this baby thing. Knowing that I'll have to fly home while Clint is Rodeoing. And I'll be home getting fat. I cry almost everytime I think about it. I haven't been away from him that long since we've been married. Hope I survive. And really hope he makes it home in time!

OH BOY!

Yes Oh Boy is literal! I'm sure most of you know but for those who don't, we are having a baby and just found out that it's a BOY!!

I am due April 14th and that makes me 19 weeks along. Almost HALF WAY!!!
Luckily, I've had an awesome pregnancy so far, no sickness, other than a day here and there at the beginning, no pain and no complications. Our baby boy looks perfect. It was so fun watching him on the ultrasound. He had his cute little legs crossed and his arms stretched out to the side with his fingers straight out. I lay with my legs crossed all the time! So I'm calling that he takes after me! I'm sure Clint will call everything else his seeing that he is so pumped to have a boy! I was laughing so hard at the doctors because going into it we both thought it was a girl but Clint was dying to have a boy! (I didn't care either way) As soon as she said it was a boy he was so happy he couldn't hold still, he texted EVERYONE in his phone within 2 minutes of finding out, and we still had like 20 minutes left of ultrasound! I swear he hasn't stopped smiling and talking about it all day. It was way funny! And way cute to see him so excited.
I haven't felt the baby move a ton until this week and now it feels like he is moving all the time. It's still flutters though so kinda hard to tell. But I'm so excited to be feeling him. I think it's way fun and wish I could feel him more!!

I'm finally back! So not too much new has happened this summer. The BIGGEST thing is that our handsome twin nephews were born July 20th!!! They are so cute! Sad that I'm the worst aunt in the world and have no pictures of them! So if you want to see them look on Brooke's blog!!
Other that that, there really isn't anything else. Just going to all the summer rodeo's and that sums it all up.
So the only pics I took this summer were at Calgary(the biggest rodeo of the year).  We were at the rodeo and it was sunshine and everything and within 10 minutes is was a downpour! Not exaggerating!!! It rained about 30 minutes and this was the damage...

This last picture is of Clint and Nate, they are such good friends and I thought this was a cute picture of them laughing together during the grand entry.

This was at my parent s house making s'mores. They are the only other pictures I took this whole summer so here they are!

Cowboy Christmas

We're right in the middle of COWBOY CHRISTMAS aka the most busy time of year in the rodeo world. Which means that we're really not home much right now.
And that explains why I haven't updated much.
And I probably won't for a while,
BUT we are loving summer and loving traveling to the rodeo's!!
Wish Clint luck and I'll be updating later!!!
